1. Take some time out
For 6-8 weeks before the wedding have some ME time.
Each week whether it be a facial or spa session have some time out from all the stress and organisation. This will not only help to alleviate the stress you are under but will also help you look your very best on your Wedding Day.
2. Get the most out of your hair and make-up trials
Once you have your make-up planned for the big day, run it past your fiance to make sure that he likes it also and ensure that the look is going to suite you and the theme of your wedding. The best tip I have heard, is to have your hair and make-up trials on the day of your hens party, that way you will get to see if the look will last the whole day and evening. Make sure you take lots of photos so you will see how it will look in your wedding photos in all lights and from every angle.
3. If you are going to have a manicure do not select the latest fashion colour
You should try to select either a French Manicure or a pale subtle colour that will complement that beautiful dress you have spent so much money on. After all in 20 years time you do not want to look back on your Wedding Photos as have Iridescent nails starring you in the face.
4. Prepare some backup shoes!
You have probably bought a beautiful pair of heels to complement your Wedding dress, but remember you will be dancing and on your feet for many hours so it might be a good idea to buy another lower pair of heels or a pair of slip-ons for the rest of the day. You want to be able to enjoy the whole day and party at your own Wedding.
5. Be ready for those make-up touch ups
Give your Maid of Honor your concealer and lipstick, so that when you need to freshen up you have what you need and you are not carrying it around with you all the time.
